What are Chain Driven Rollers and when to use them
Conveying using a continuous chain arrangement to move rollers typically for assembly lines.
Often found in warehouses and distribution centers where bulky heavy duty products such as pallet as they will tolerate continual use under harsh conditions.
Typically used for heavy duty application and supplied in the following;-
1/2" or 5/8" pitch transmission chain roller diameters from 60mm to 100mm pitched to suit the product being handled.
Widths up to 1m and lengths up to 20m can be supplied using one drive. 90 degree bends can also be supplied.

Disadvantages
Powered Roller Conveyor is more expensive than Lineshaft
Loss of drive down line if a single chain breaks
Not suitable for bends
Not suitable for irregular shaped products
Not suitable for small products and could fall in between rollers.
